YELLOW-EYED PENGUIN Unlike most penguins, the Yellow-eyed does not live in dense colonies, but is solitary, preferring the deep forests along the New Zealand coast. Sadly, much of that forest habitat is gone, and Yellow-eyed Penguins are increasingly rare.
