EMPEROR PENGUIN This is the largest of the penguins, and one of the most beautiful. Emperors are unique in that they nest directly on ice, in the middle of winter, carrying their eggs on top of their feet to keep them warm. In fact, an Emperor Penguin may never set foot on dry land in its entire life.
